There are many toponyms in Ancient Greek history called Dascylium.

>DASCY´LIUM (ΔασκύλιονΔασκυλεῖον, Dascylus: Ethnie Δασκυλίτης).

*

It could be a Turkic name suitable for a toponym:

DAZ means bald, arid, infertile, KIR means mountain (Mountainous area) and -I: suffix. Example: BOZKIR: (Gray) steppe

DAZKIRI could mean a place where you can plant not many things.

There is even a town in today's Türkiye with the same name:

Türkçesi:

Eski Yunan coğrafyasında DASCYLIUM ve benzeri adlı yerler, DAZKIRI'ndan türemiş olabilir.
