Ancient-Greek-Echetlus-Turkic-ek-Hungarian-eke

Echetlus - he who has plough in his hand

*

(Echetlaeus (Ancient Greek: Ἐχετλαῖος) or Echetlus (Ἔχετλος)

*

Echetlus gizemli bir varlık!

Elindeki sabanla savaşıyor.

Ve tıpkı Bouzyges gibi onun da adı tarımla ilgili.

Bouzyges de zaten sabanı öküze ilk takan kişi Yunan mitolojisinde.

Onun hakkında yazmıştım bu blogda: > BUZYGES

*

Echetlus is a mysterious being!

He fights with the plow in his hand.

And just like the mysterious Bouzyges, its name is related to agriculture.

(Bouzyges is the first person to put the plow on an ox, in Greek mythology).

I wrote about him on this blog: >Buzyges

*

Link: Ekhetlus

*

Şimdi Ön-Türkçe ek- köküne bakalım:

Ekmek, tohum ekmek/tohum saçmak anlamındadır.

Macarca'ya dilimizden "eke" olarak, saban anlamında geçmiştir.

Eski Türkçe "ekerge", tarla demektir.

*

Peki en eski zamanlarda elinde ekeleri (eke-t = t çoğul eki?) olan bir Asyalı (o yüzden esrarengiz?) gelip orada savaşmış olmasın?

*

Now my turn:

Let's look at the Proto-Turkish root ek-:

Ek- (verb) means to sow/to scatter seeds.

It was transferred to Hungarian as EKE, meaning plow.

Old Turkic "ekerge" means field, plantation.

*

So why wouldn't an Asian (so mysterious?) with eke (eke-t = t plural suffix?) come and fight there in the earliest times in Greek history?

*

Ek bilgi:

"etiz" Eski Türkçe "sulanan tarla" demektir.

*

Bonus Information:

"etiz" means "irrigated field" in Old Turkish.

Because of a certain Tyrrhenian named Celer, of whom I speak.
For they say that, when Romulus founded Rome

Would often jump over the newly built moat.
While jumping one time, he fell and died in it.

Because of this, the Romans call any fast person Celer.

Hittite-Annaneges-versus-Turkic-ana-eke

Bu bilgi her yerde yok!

Hititçe annaneges 'annenin kız kardeşleri' demek (>teyze).

Peki, bu Hititçe sözcük Türkçe 'ananın ekesi/eçesi' ile hem anlam hem de şekil olarak aynı değil midir?

Bildiğim kadarıyla birçok Hint-Avrupa dilinde teyze ile hala arasında ayrım yapılmaz ama biz yaparız.

Hala babanın kız kardeşidir
Teyze ise annenin kız kardeşidir.

Turkic/Proto-Turkic words dealing with sister of the mother:

Türkçe'de teyze'ye karşılık gelen sözcükler:

*

This information is not available anywhere!
Hittite annaneges means 'mother's sisters' (aunt).
This Hittite word is the same as the Turkish 'anne's ekesi/eçesi' (anne=mother, eke/eçe = sister) both in meaning and form? As far as I know, many Indo-European languages do not distinguish between mother's sister and father's sister, but the Turks do:

Hala is the father's sister Teyze is the mother's sister.
