Thracian-Jackdaw-Gagila-versus-Turkic-kakira

Tomaschek - Thraker - Traklar - Thracian

 *

There is a Thracian word in this book on the page 8 of the second part.

γαγύλη Gagila/Gagyla

meaning jackdaw.

Duridanov says that etymology is unclear.

Now I make it crystal clear.

Turkic KAKIRA meaning simply goose.

Goose?

Goose is no jackdaw. Yes. If Tomaschek proposes the Russian GOGOL (see pic below) then I can propose Kyrgyz KAKIRA. We can already read it in Manas Legends.

Thracian Gagila/Gagyla versus Turkic KAKIRA

I think the Turkic bird's name is very compatible to Thracian bird's name.

Isn't it?

There is an other possibility:

Turkic verb kak-: to cry (schreien). KAKIR-: could mean that that cries/shouts longly.
