Iazyges-tribe-and-Turkic-Yazig

Steppe - Western Kazakstan

Eski Türkçe jazyg ova, bozkır demek.

Sarmatlardan bir bodun da aynı şekilde yazılan adı (Jazyg-Yazıg) taşıyor. Wiki’de Yazıglar İranlı dil konuşur falan fişmekan filan yazıyor. Peki ben şimdi bu taş gibi Eski Türkçe sözcüğü umursamadan geçeyim mi? Anlam da uyumlu, şekil de!

ENGLISH VERSION:

Old Turkish jazyg means plain, steppe.

One of the Sarmatians tribes has the same spelled name (Jazyg-Yazıg).

On the wiki, Yazigs speak Iranian language and so on (Nobody is sure about their language)

Well, now should I ignore this ice-cold Old Turkish word? The meaning is compatible, the shape too!
