Another-PreGreek-Pelican-word-BaiBuks-Turkish-Bay

βαῖβυξ: Pelican in Greek

*

According to Robert Beekes a Pre-Greek word:

There are many bird names in Turkic like baykuš, baysungur or baykara.

Baykuš: owl
Baysungur: a kind of falcon
Baykara: a kind of hawk

Baibuks could be something like that.

Bay: rich, bigger, stronger > Owner?

Buks < Bük ? (Turkic Bük means the thicket at the waterside).

Interesting coincidence?
