Bunu ilk yazan ben değilim. Ama ufak bir katkım olur belki.
βασιλεύς Basileos Yunanca başbuğ demek. Ama yabancı başbuğlara verilen ad bu/1
Yunanca bir sözcük değil/1
-il- Yunanca olmayan bir yapım eki.
Wiki diyor ki: 'Yunan tarihinin belirli dönemlerinde, βασιλεύς (basileús), Pers kralları ve Roma Sezarları gibi benzer otoriteye sahip bazı yabancı liderleri tanımlamak için kullanıldı.'
BAŞLI sözcüğü olamaz mı bu?

ENGLISH:
I'm not the first to post this. But maybe I can make a small contribution.
βασιλεύς Basileos means chieftain/king/prince in Greek. But this is the name given to foreign chieftains/1
Not a Greek word (a Pre-Greek word acc. to Robert Beekes)/1
Acc. to wiki:
'During specific periods of Greek history, βασιλεύς (basileús) was used to describe certain foreign leaders of comparable authority, such as the Persian kings and Roman Caesars.'
Βασιλήϊοι Basilíïoi means 'royal' (German Königlich) (means belonging to the chieftain). Some Scythian tribes were called like that.
Couldn't that be the Turkic word BAŞLI (having a head (chieftain), meaning 'he/they who has/have a "head"'?
