Is-Ancient-Greek-Tauros-Turkic-Tau-Or

Taurus-Toros-Mountian-Range-Anatolia

Hi,

a very complicated issue. The name of a mountain range in Anatolia, today's Türkiye.

TAURUS (Turkish TOROS)

*

According to wiktionary the word Taurus has no certain etymology:

Source: Ταῦρος#Ancient_Greek

*

Modern Turkish dağ is the "mountain". Older versions are Tau, Taw, Tag, Taa, Too, Tav, (Yakut TIA).

*

Greek ὄρος  (órosn (genitive ὄρεος or ὄρους or οὔρεος); third declension

  1. mountainhill

*

Old Turkic root "or" has many meanings like dwelling place, place, palace, a higher place, a deeper place, a throne...

*
And now my part:

When we add "TAU" and "OR" together we have a compound name in Turkic:
Tau-Or
(-us Greek Suffix),

meaning "mountainous (dwelling) place".

Possible?
