Pre-Greek-agalma-Proto-Tuerkic-kaling

Englisch Dowry - Türkish Kalın - German Mitgift / Aussteuer

There is an Ancient Greek word agalma/ἄγαλμα meaning jewelry, votive gift, sacred work of art in Pauly's RE:

*

According to wiki a word of uncertain origin (Source Robert Beekes):

My turn:

There is a Proto-Türkic word *Kalım, meaning "ransom for bride". Ancient Türks (like many other Eurasian peoples) had/have this tradition. Türkish ransom for bride could be anything worthy like a horse, money, gold, other presents, etc...

I think Pre-Greek word agalma could have been derived from a Türkic language.

The other dialects have this Proto-Türkic *Kalım as kalın, kalım, galıng, kalıng, qalım, etc...
