Iliad-Otrunteus-Turkic-Otruntu

Iliad Iliad words

Otrunteus diye bir kişi/ad var Ilyada'da.

Aklıma Eski Türkçe otrun- eylemi geldi. Karşı koymak/gelmek; konuşlanmak, cephe kurmak anlamları var. Adı Otrunteus olan adam belki 'otruntu'. Böyle Türkçe kokan sözcükler hemen aklımı başımdan alıyor. Bağlantılar ve diğer olasılıklar:

ENGLISH VERSION:

There is a person called Otrunteus in the Iliad.

The Old Turkish verb otrun- came to mind immediately.
It means to oppose/come against; to deploy, to establish a front.
The man whose name is Otrunteus had perhaps 'otruntu'. (English: he had Otrun-'ed')

Such Turkish-smelling words immediately blow my mind.
