TürkHıyarı-PaisleyMotif-TürkischeGurke

Hello,

today it is about Turkish cucumbers.

German term "Türkische Gurke" indicates a motif thet we find in India, Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey.

In web you find many explanations for its origin. Its English name is paisley and my sister would call it 'şal deseni'.

www attests Iranian, Scythian, Kadjar, Safavid, India origins. I think we can say that it is of Midde Asian origin, so it could be Turkish, too.

Missy Elliot has it on in her most famous hit "Get your freak on".
