My proposal is the Turkish word BARK...
It is a very old Turkish word (first attested on the oldest Stones of Orhun 8th C)
"ebin barkin anda bozdum" = "I have destroyed his assets/dwellings just there"

The possible rood could be var- (old version is bar) meaning "to be" or "to go"
Barik (already reached?) could mean the place you don't go further.
Or what you have (assets) is the word varlik, dealing most probably with our word bark/barrack.
Mongolian root bari- means "to build", too.
