Pauly tells us a city called Auzakia in the Altai mountains.

He says: The name, which is also Auxakia in the MSS, could be explained from Pers. *avâzaka or *yauzaka (npers. yôz) 1) 'robber, brigand', 2) 'leopard'.

(German original) Der Name, der in den Hss. auch Auxakia lautet, könnte aus pers. *avâzaka oder *yauzaka (npers. yôz) 1) ‚Räuber, Brigant‘, 2) ‚Leopard‘ erklärt werden.

But there is a very good and suitable Turkish word UZAK/OZAK meaning far away, distant; long time.

I think we should consider this.

UZAK/OZAK.
