Thrakian-Saratocos-Turkish-SariTavuk

SARATOCO-SARATOCOS-SARI TAVUK

*
Bence Saratoco / Saratocos adlı yiğidin adı Türk köklü olması mümkündür.

ENGLISH VERSION

I wrote about 'Celtic' king Caratacus and assumed that the name was of Turkish origin
Caratacu-s > KaraTaku-s > Black hen ~ Blackbird

For more information: Caratacus < Kara Tavuk

And now we look at Thracian king Saratoko-s!

His name Sara Toco is a derivation of Sari Tavuk (Sari = White~Yellow); Tavuk > Hen ~ Bird, I assume.

This Thracian King Saratoco is the second Turkish-named Thracian after Cotys / Kotuz (Turkish word for Yak).

Detailed information about Cotys: Cotys < Kotuz

As for Sari Tavuk ~ Yellow Hen again: This long-haired Thracian hero has his own face on the heads of his coin, and his inscription on the other side is a sign very similar to Turkish signs/runes ! Look and see!
I think, it is very probable that the name of this Thracian King is a Turkish one.

UPDATE 13.08.2023

under the link Saratokos coin we see on the reverse side a "sign" ( according to me a tamga (Middle Asian / Turkic seal)

The author of that article is not sure about this sign, he says something about them (It could be SAP) but he is not sure. He is writing with a ? and comments with "most probably". I don't see there A or P.
Sigma is ok, with imagination I could see it, too.

He is not sure, because they are not Greek letters.
Now look at his comments:
