Robert Beekes shows a Pre-Greek word in his dictionary Pre-Greek Phonology, Morphology, Lexicon 

βάλλεκα / balleka

Pre-Greek means not Greek and probably not Indo-European.

So, I thought immediately of Türkic balbal stones, that are steles for the ancestors.

As I looked it up in www I saw a hint that lead me to Sumerian bal 𒁄 , meaning a kind of stone.

They should have had a relation to each other.

Second indicator that shows me the relation between Türkic and Pre-Greek is the notice of Mr. Beekes (see above) about the suffix. He writes:

"Probably -εκ- represents the frequent Pre-Greek suffix -ακ- .."

In Türkic in the old times there were 2 diminutive suffixes like +Ak  and +(I)k.

That could mean the bal+ak / bal+ık could mean the small stone, voila pebble.

Logical?

Robert Beekes, "Pre-Greek Phonology, Morphology, Lexicon" adlı sözlüğünde Ön-Yunanca bir kelime gösteriyor:

Ön-Yunanca, Yunanca olmayan ve muhtemelen Hint-Avrupa dillerinden de olmayan anlamına gelir.

Bu yüzden hemen Türklerin ataları için dikilen dik taşlar olan balbal taşlarını düşündüm.

İnternette araştırırken, Sümerce bal 𒁄 kelimesinin bir tür taş anlamına geldiğine dair bir ipucu gördüm.

Bence birbirleriyle ilişkili olmaları gerekirdi.

Türk ve Ön-Yunanca arasındaki ilişkiyi gösteren ikinci gösterge ise Bay Beekes'in (yukarıya bakınız) sonek hakkındaki notudur. Şöyle yazıyor:

"Muhtemelen -εκ-, sık kullanılan Ön-Yunanca son ek olan -ακ-'yi temsil ediyor..."

Eski zamanlarda Türkçede +Ak ve +(I)k gibi 2 küçültme eki vardı.

Bu, bal+ak / bal+ık'ın küçük taş, çakıl taşı anlamına gelebileceği anlamına gelebilir.
