was-odoacer-a-Turk

Attila's deputy and ambassador Edeko's son, Turchilingi's Chieftain Odoacer was maybe a Turk

Or maybe a German! Or maybe both, a mix. Odoacer's name could drive from (my assumption) Ot-Tokı-r, meaning "he who hits with fire". There are many other assumptions, you can read below!
*
wiki says: ..could be a form of the Turkish "Ot-toghar" ("grass-born" or "fire-born"), or the shorter form "Ot-ghar" ("herder").[17] why not? Turcilingi sounds like a Turkish-German mix word! Turk + ling (German suffix)

His Father EDEKO, EDIKON His son: Thelan or Oklan (oglan (like UHLAN)) His Brother: Hunoulphus all have possible Turkish roots. * Of course the clan of TURCILINGI shouts that it has to do with the Turks. It is very probable that Attila has brought many Turkish clans to Europe!
*
It was very probable that Odoacer was a Turkish warrior!
